We are so glad you are considering St. John Paul II Elementary School!
We offer Preschool (starting at age 3) through 6th grade. Students may enroll at anytime, and anyone is welcome to enroll, regardless of location or denomination. We also offer scholarship opportunities in order to make a quality Catholic education available to anyone who desires it.
2025-2026 Tuition
Preschool
Half-day (preschool only) - $ 2,172 for school year
Full-day (preschool + childcare) - $ 4,836 for school year
K-6th Grade
One child - $ 3,163 for school year
Two children - $ 4,595 for school year
Three or more children - $ 5,549 for school year
Lunch prices are not included in tuition.
Daily lunch prices are $3.25 per hot lunch, $.40 for reduced price lunches, and $.50 for an extra milk or milk with a bag lunch.
Payment Options
Tuition payments can be made electronically through the TADS registration portal or via check to the office. Families may make payments in one, two, three or four installments.

South Dakota Partners in Education Scholarship - K-6 only; due May 31 for the upcoming school year
St. John Paul II School Tuition Assistance
A private board will review individual requests. Families who do not qualify for the SDPE Scholarship can still qualify for this assistance. To apply, families are asked to fill out the Financial Aid section of their TADS account and contact Principal Sarah Timmer. Names of those requesting assistance are kept anonymous when applications are presented to the review committee.
St. Scholastica Tuition Assistance Fund (for families with ties to former parish in Letcher, SD)
Admission Process
Fill out enrollment form provided by the school office
Pay $150 deposit per child
Provide copy of birth certificate
Provide copy of immunization records*
Set up online TADS account (the office will send your account invitation via email)
*Immunizations required are listed by the SD Dept. of Health. A written statement for religious exemption can also be provided.
