School Lunch Update- Tuesday will be the scheduled meal, taco burgers. We will skip Monday's menu.

Due to current weather conditions and significant road closures affecting many our faculty, staff, and students the Mitchell School District K-12 and Saint John Paul II Elementary School will be closed. No classes or school activities tomorrow, March 16.

Bowling Fun 🎳

Students celebrated reaching our Catholic United Financial Raffle goal by going bowling this week! Thank you to all who supported the raffle, and thank you to Village Bowl for hosting us!

DWU Girls Basketball players stopped in today for high fives and invited them to their game on Friday! They also gave 24 student tickets to some lucky students! The game is at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 23 at the Corn Palace. Go Tigers!

Please watch for a letter being sent home with your child today regarding our class baskets for Bids for Kids.
Each class will be creating a themed basket for the auction. We are asking families to donate items that fit the class theme or send cash that can be used to purchase items for the basket. Please return items or cash by Wednesday, March 18.
Class basket themes are:

Preschool/Kindergarten – Beef Basket
1st Grade – Summer/Camping Basket
2nd Grade – Coffee Lovers Basket
3rd Grade – Ballpark Basket
4th Grade – Gift Card Basket
5th/6th Grade – Art Cart with Supplies

On Thursday, March 12th we will be going bowling as a reward for meeting our school-wide raffle goal! We will be bussing to and from Village Bowl. This adventure will take place from 12:45-2:30.

This morning, our faculty and students showed us how to live out the virtue of Mercy by caring for those who suffer through St. John Vianney, St. Faustina, and St. Teresa of Calcultta.

One day a week, the 5th/6th graders do stations in Spanish to practice what they’re learning—and relax a little! 🗣
